We had a great day serving lunch to the community surrounding St. Martin De Porres in Lake Charles. This community has suffered so much in the past twelve months. Multiple hurricanes and recently flooding from a torrential downpour last week that I believe dumped over 12 inches of rain in an hour.
Forged by Fire, in partnership with The Village Church in Lacombe was fortunate to work again with Father Jace at St. Martin De Porres. He is an incredible servant, who personally handed out every meal that left our pots that day.
At this location, they have a huge parking lot that allows a line of cars to que up and not block the highway. I am not sure of the numbers that a certain fast food chicken chain restaurant can serve, but we do a great job of moving cars and serving people!
As usual, we could not do any of this work without your help. Thank you for that support! I must also thank my great volunteer team that came out two days to help cook and serve these meals. They were awesome!
