Saturday we traveled across the bridge to Metairie and cooked at Atonement Lutheran. They were hosting a drive through commodities distribution day and we offered to provide a warm and delicious meal for lunch.
For some reason it seemed less stressful. Maybe the cooler temperatures? Maybe the shorter drive? Not sure, but as usual we had a great group of volunteers who came together to make this happen.

The menu for the day was a delicious plate of red beans and rice, grilled sausage, Hawaiian rolls, and cookies.
Thank you for all of your love and support!
