Hospice House Crawfish Cookoff

Saturday April 23rd our resident chef and our boiling equipment headed out to Fritchie Park in Slidell to help cook crawfish at the annual Hospice House cookoff.

Chef Lou brought the “big unit” to throw down and impressed the crowed with the amount of crawfish he could boil at one time. But boiling that amount doesn’t mean much if it doesn’t taste good. Chef Lou as usual made the crawfish “finger licking” good!

He boiled over 1400lbs that day, along with sides to help support this great cause. Our thanks to Walmart and the neighborhood markets for being a great supporter of community events. Remember to support our local Walmart stores when shopping if possible. And a special thanks to The Village Church Lutheran in Lacombe for their continued support of the work that FBF does in our community.

Almost ready for the crawdads!
Chef Lou checking to see if they are ready….
GO TIME
I really want some crawfish right now!
