Ft. Myers Florida

This week we were finally able to head down to Ft. Myers to help the community surrounding St. Michael Lutheran Church. In two days we were able to prep, cook and serve over 6000 meals. I am so proud of our volunteers who made all of this possible.

I must say how blessed we are in doing this work. We are very thankful of the support of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and their generous donations to help this happen. We are also thankful to The Village Church Lutheran who supports my work and involvement in this important ministry. Steve’s RV in Lacombe for always making sure our trailers are in perfect working order. And the many individuals who continually volunteer and come out of pocket financially on these trips. Without them, we could not be able to do what we do.

As an RSO of the LCMS, we strive to work with local LCMS congregations in disaster response. This event we partnered with St. Michael Lutheran in Ft. Myers. Their volunteers were incredible! We were honored to be part of this community.

We also were blessed to be able to stay at Zion Lutheran in Ft. Myers at the LERT base camp there. Many thanks to Joel and Kathy Matthews for allowing us to crash there at night and be part of this great community.

Following are some photos of the past week and the incredible volunteers that we had to make all of this happen.

  1. What a blessing to see how the Lord is blessing this part of the ministry. Love seeing the folks in action, plates of great food and tired but encouraged smiles. God bless brother!!
