Exciting things are happening after our worship service this Sunday. The annual Chef Soiree is being held at the Bogue Falaya Park in Covington. This event is a fundraiser for the Youth Service Bureau. To learn more about the work that YSB does, check out their website athttps://www.ysbworks.com/ and also to get tickets to this great event.
Both Forged by Fire and The Village Church Lutheran will have tables set up this year serving some delicious food. Our famous jambalaya will be fixed at the park and we will also have Chef Lou’s Shrimp and Grits. The fresh gulf shrimp were donated this year by the Louisiana Seafood Board and delivered to us yesterday by Kenny’s seafood [a local seafood market]. We would like to thank all of our sponsors, including S & W wholesale foods in Hammond https://www.s-wfoods.com/ for their support in this event. The Louisiana Seafood Board for their help. And of course The Village Church Lutheran for their outgoing spirit to make our community a better place!
