We are currently using the LERT System that the LCMS has set up. If you are not familiar with the software, please sign up and learn more about the LERT system.
To volunteer, you will need to register on the LCMS LERT system by going to http://www.LCMS-LERT.org. Here is how:
Click on the green SIGN UP button at the top of the page.
Complete the required information and submit.
NOTE: If a couple use the same email address only one of them can use it, the other will need a different email address. The user ID is the email address, so two people cannot use the same email address.
Once registered, complete the Profile, Disaster Profile, and any Waiver (items with asterisk * required, the rest are optional).
Then go to DISTRICTS at the left side of the page, click on it.
Go to page 3 of Districts and find the Southern District, that is our home area of operation currently.
Select Fan at the bottom of district icon. Click FAN
Once registered and a Fan of the Southern District, then you can sign up for the event(s). Here is how you will do that:
On the Southern District page deployment events are shown.
Click on the Forged By Fire event interested in.
Once on that event, there will be information about it and a SIGN UP button.
If there are shifts, sign up for a SHIFT.
If no shifts, then click on the SIGN UP button.
Complete the requested information.
Done! (I know, it seems like a lot, but it only takes a few minutes to do.)
