Join us in making a difference in the lives of people affected by natural disasters, and poverty. Individuals, businesses and churches can each partner with us in a variety of ways.
We currently are utilizing the LERT system of the LCMS to fill volunteer spots on deployments.
All volunteers will need to register on the LCMS LERT system by going to http://www.LCMS-LERT.org. Here is how: Click on the green SIGN UP button at the top of the page.
Complete the required information and submit.
NOTE: If a couple use the same email address only one of them can use it, the other will need a different email address. The user ID is the email address, so two people cannot use the same email address.
Once registered, complete the Profile, Disaster Profile, and any Waiver (items with asterisk * required, the rest are optional).
Then go to DISTRICTS at the left side of the page, click on it.
Go to page 3 of Districts and find the Southern District.
Select Fan at the bottom of district icon. Click FAN
Once registered and a Fan of the Southern District, then volunteers (and you) can sign up for the event(s).
Here is how:
On the Southern District page our events are shown.
Click on the Forged By Fire event interested in.
Once on that event, there will be information about it and a SIGN UP button.
If there are shifts, sign up for a SHIFT.
If no shifts, then click on the SIGN UP button.
Complete the requested information.
Done! (I know, it seems like a lot, but it only takes a few minutes to do.)

We are a 501c3 organization fully funded by private donors, religious organizations and sponsorships. Our corporate supporters can work with us in a number of ways: equipment and product donations, financial contributions, matching gift programs and volunteer initiatives. Become a Church Partner
We partner with churches in a variety of ways. As a RSO of the LCMS, we work together with local ministries to station our trailers and coordinate volunteers on their property.
