Somedays you just have to slow down and share your talents in a different way. We were recently asked to help prepare some food for Lutheran High School in Metairie Louisiana. How can you refuse that request? Well we didn’t and had a great time helping out our fellow brothers and sisters across the lake.

The back story…. A few years ago during Hurricane Ida, Lutheran High School suffered damage to their facility. This event on Saturday was a celebration of finally getting the repairs done and showing off the repairs to alumni and new potential families and students. We were happy to hear that they did connect with a few new families and will potentially see some new students in the coming year. What a blessing!

The neat thing for FBF was that LHS was a National Grant recipient from the LWML, same as us. What a blessing it was to be able to share out talents with another organization that is sharing the Gospel, the life changing and saving message of Jesus Christ. Thank you LHS for the opportunity and the LWML for supporting our work.

Thank you to a couple of LHS graduates who helped make this day possible. Walt and Irene did most of the cooking an cleaning. And Mr. Steve with Steve’s RV in Lacombe donated our propane used for this event. And thank you to Thrivent, we were able to use an Action Team to help cover some food cost for this event.
