On Saturday we ventured further south to the town of Houma.
Houma was in the direct path of the hurricane and you could tell by the shear destruction it was a brutal storm for this area.
Our goal was to set up and cook at Grace Lutheran and serve as many people as we could.
The weather did not want to cooperate at first. Heavy rains dampened the morning but thankfully the rains moved out once we started serving.

We not only cooked and served the car line, we loaded up the van and had a team deliver meals into some of the even harder hit areas south of Houma.
We are fortunate to be able to help others. We can because you support the work we do.
Thank you for your kindness and prayers.
