This past weekend I had the opportunity to attend a training event in Slidell. It was a great two day event. I am sure if you wanted to, this event could have taken three full days or more. Needless to say, the training event was filled with information on how the Lutheran church is responding to the growing needs in disaster response work. I was very fortunate to be able to attend and learn how The Village Church and Forged by Fire can work together and along side our brothers and sisters from around the country to support communities in need.
